Eligible applicants can receive partial funding for the Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery.
Upon satisfying the eligibility criteria and paying the $480 materials fee and subsidised tuition fee receive an offer and invitation to attend orientation.
This industry leading course will equip you with the skills to launch your commercial cookery career. Expand upon to your culinary talents with the Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, with kitchen-based practical learning as well as classroom theory-based subjects where you’ll learn to manage finances, a kitchen and a team – the skills essential for success in hospitality. This qualification provides a pathway to work as a Chef in organisations such as cafes, clubs, coffee shops, hotels, pubs and restaurants or to run your own small business in these sectors.
As part of the course, students are required to complete 60 occasions of Work Based Training. The College will assist you in kick-starting your career by finding a quality venue for you to complete your WBT.
All hospitality courses are delivered at Front Cooking School’s modern kitchen and training premises in Carlton and Brunswick.

Requirements and eligibility criteria

- You meet one of the following citizen/residency statuses:
Australian citizen / holder of a permanent visa / New Zealand citizen and are ‘upskilling’ by undertaking a course at a higher level than your existing qualification

Proof of residency – Medicare Card and Australian Drivers license (or other proof of ID).
2. Meet with an authorised staff member and receive a visit to the Carlton campus to determine eligibility and have a chance to inspect the kitchens.
3. Our admissions team handle your online application on your behalf.
4. Receive a letter of offer sign and accept the conditions and pay the promotional price of $480 for the materials (Full Chef’s uniform, commercial grade knife set, 2 recipe books, safety footwear) and subsidised tuition fee (if eligible)
